Times are tough: HPSJ and BEACON are here to help Pandemics are stressful. Kids doing online learning is a lot to handle. Not knowing when things will get better can cause strong feelings in everyone. Wearing masks, washing hands and watching your distance can feel like too much. We have been trying our best for many months. As an HPSJ member, there are people who can help with those feelings, changes or mental illness. BEACON is our mental health partner. They link members to services like: ● Therapy—individual or group ● Psychiatric sessions ● Psychological testing ● Behavioral health treatment linked to autism Having health issues, trauma or having a hard time enjoying your life can all be reasons to call BEACON. If you have a child with ADHD, that might mean some changes will happen. ADHD changes the way a person acts or focuses and can make things harder to do. Medications might be given, and maybe mental health services will be suggested so both parent and child can do their best. Winter break is coming up, and you or your child might need help with ADHD.
